Dan Stribling
I am Dan Stribling, and my passion is creating spaces that promote healing and community.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have devoted my career to supporting young people and their families. I am entering my eighth year in the mental health field.
I believe that every person is an expert in their experience. Therefore, my work centers around the hopes, dreams, and needs of each person’s journey. I believe that the role of a therapist is to be the co-pilot on the journey—we will work as a team to navigate life and reach your destination.
While a student at the University of Missouri-Columbia, I developed mentoring programs, and my work was recognized with the Catalyst Award. There, I earned a Bachelor and Master of Social Work. My studies emphasized helping youth and aging populations. I focused on proven therapeutic systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which I have employed throughout my career.
Every child deserves the support they need. I worked with Head Start to promote the school readiness of infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
During my career, I have been focused on centering those that have been often pushed to the margins—the LGBTQ+ community, young people, and those who have been impacted by the justice system. I have collaborated with queer youth and adults to develop plans for their growth, independence, and success.
I have supported clients through crises and developed safety plans when necessary.
I am deeply committed to building bridges over barriers and creating webs of support around those I have the honor of working with.
All people deserve a life filled with joy, love, and dreams. I cannot wait to be your co-pilot on this journey together.
