How do you help LGBTQ+ people and families?

Our staff has seen a growing need to create a safe space and focus on the LGBTQ community.  While most therapists offer services for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, et. al., the LGBTQ+ community and their families experience these mental health challenges in ways other people and families do not.  Sexual transition and discovery can come with feelings of grief and loss that are hard to explain or even identify.  This is why we have created therapy and programs for LGBTQ+.  We have also focused our internal training and education to meet the needs of this often marginalized group.

Yes, we offer telehealth.  We also offer hybrid telehealth and in-person to provide you with added flexibility for your schedule.

Q: What insurance plans does Family Matters accept, and how does billing work for out-of-network services?

A: Family Matters is in network with BCBS PPO, allowing clients covered under this plan to access our family counseling services with ease. For clients with other insurance providers or those seeking services outside of their network, we are happy to assist with out-of-network billing to help you maximize your benefits. Additionally, we accept HSA cards as a convenient payment option and all major credit cards.
